In addition, police said a donkey belonging to an Easton resident was attacked by a pit bull last week, suffering wound to her jaw area and neck and nose, said the Easton Courier.

The dog's owner was given infractions for allowing the dog to roam and for failure to comply with the town's rabies ordinance. The dog is being held for a 14-day quarantine, then will be returned to the owner. The donkey was treated and is okay, added the Easton Courier.
