Easton Holds Annual April Fool's Race For D.A.R.E.

EASTON, Conn. -- Lace up your running shoes and join the annual 5K run during the 17th annual April Fool's Race for D.A.R.E, which will be held on Saturday, March 26 at Samuel Staples Elementary School in Easton.

Sponsors will get the name of their business printed on the back of every race shirt. To be a 2016 race sponsor, click here and write "I'd like to be a race sponsor!"

To participate in the race, register here. T-shirts are guaranteed for pre-registered runners and trophies for top finishers (overall and age categories).

The race has professional race timing, post race food for runners, trophies, door prizes, music and a "Be The Star Photo Booth."

Those who can't make it to the race can sign up to be a virtual runner.

D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.

Samuel Staples Elementary School is at 515 Morehouse Road.
