Driver Injured After One-Car Crash Near Monroe Diner

MONROE, Conn. — One occupant of a car was extricated from the vehicle by firefighters after a crash early Sunday near the Monroe Diner, the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department said in a Facebook post.

Firefighters from the Stepney Fire Department and the Monroe Department responded to the one-car crash, the post said. 

The occupant of the car was conscious and transported to the hospital by Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service.

No further information was available on the crash or the patient's condition.
