Car Thieves Strike For Second Night In A Row In Trumbull, Police Say

TRUMBULL, Conn. — For the second night in a row, a car was stolen overnight from the driveway of a Trumbull home, police said Thursday.

Police were investigating the theft of a 2010 Audi A4, which was taken sometime between 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, and 730 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, police said.

The car was parked at a home on Leonard Place with the valet key left inside, police said.

The vehicle contained a laptop computer and several other personal items, where are also missing, police said.

In a separate incident, Stratford, Fairfield and Bridgeport Police were involved in chasing another stolen vehicle near the Trumbull border during the early morning hours, Trumbull police said. No arrests were made in that case, police said.

"The Trumbull Police would once again like to take this opportunity to remind all residents to always lock your vehicles and remove all valuables from view," police said in a statement. "Numerous other Police Departments are reporting similar thefts from unlocked vehicles."
