MONROE, Conn. -- Units from the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department responded to a single-car crash into a utility pole about 1 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
Members of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department responded to an automobile accident early Sunday.

The car sustained heavy damage to its front end, and the utility pole was split.
Despite the damage, officials said, no one was seriously injured in the crash.
