27-Year-Old Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Car In Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. — A 27-year-old male pedestrian from Waterbury was struck by a car and killed after a multi-vehicle crash in Shelton on Tuesday evening, police said.

The accident occurred near 350 Bridgeport Ave., between Platt Road to Cots Street, at about 7:20 p.m., police said.  

The Shelton Police Department, Shelton Fire Department, and EMS were dispatched to the scene, police said. The pedestrian was hit during the multiple vehicle accident, police said.

The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Bridgeport Avenue remained closed late Tuesday night while the Shelton Police Department's Accident Reconstruction team was investigating the accident.
