2 Trumbull Firefighters Graduate In Training School's Spring Class

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Firefighters Sam Atkins and Ryan Hongo of the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company graduated from the Valley Fire Chief's Regional Fire Training School's Spring Firefighter I Class.

This class is the entry-level certification in the fire service, giving students the knowledge and skills to be interior qualified firefighters. 

The class is about 160 hours, including intensive classroom lectures, as well as numerous practical skill days. 

Completion of this class qualifies both members to sit for the state practical and written exams in the coming weeks.
