TRUMBULL, Conn. — Longtime Trumbull resident Giannoula K. Karoli died Tuesday, May 10. She was 86.
Born in Flampouro, Florina Greece, Karoli was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where she was a member of the Philoptochos Society.
Karoli is survived by her sister, Elektra Assikelis; step-children, James Karoli and Louise Gallagher; sister-in-law, Konstantina Koloniaris; nieces and nephews, George Koloniaris and wife Maria, Margarita Arpie and husband Brian, Gus Koloniaris, Vicky Boudreau and husband David; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
In addition to her husband, James, Karoli was predeceased by her brother, Kiriakos Koloniaris; and parents, Konstantinos and Konstantina Slatina Koloniaris.
Friends are invited to attend a Rite of Burial at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Ave., Bridgeport with Father Georgios Livaditis Presbyter officiating, followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
Calling hours will take place from 4-8 p.m. Sunday in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport with Trisagion services at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
