Redding First Selectman Julia Pemberton told the Redding Pilot that Guitar was a mentor to many in government and the community, and that she was instrumental in helping the town acquire open space. Guitar was dedicated to preserving Redding's natural beauty, and Pemberton urged residents to pay tribute to her legacy by enjoying the open space she worked so hard to protect, the Redding Pilot reported.
