TRUMBULL, Conn. — Three separate accidents led to a 12-car pileup and closed an exit ramp in Trumbull on Tuesday morning, according to the Trumbull Times.

The accident occurred on a ramp from the Merritt onto Route 25 in Trumbull.

The crashes occurred on the exit ramp from northbound Route 25 to the Merritt Parkway southbound near White Plains Road, the Times said.

The scene of the accident, which occurred on icy roads after freezing rain fell overnight, has been cleared. No further information was available on the crash or any injuries.
