Redding Woman Dies After Attack By Her Own Dog, Police Say

REDDING, Conn. — A Redding woman died after she was attacked by her own dog at a home on Deacon Abbott Street on Friday, according to the Redding Pilot.

Police are investigating the death of the woman, whose identity was withheld pending notification of her family, the Pilot said. Redding police have the dog in captivity, the Pilot said.  

Police Chief Doug Fuchs told the Pilot that the woman suffered “very serious injuries” in the dog attack, which set off a series of events that led to her death.
