EASTON, N.J. -- A rabid raccoon in Easton has prompted the animal control officer to issue a serious warning about dog licensing, reports the Easton Courier.
The racoon bit a dog, and if the canine had not been vaccinated, which is required by licensing, it would have been euthanised, reports the Easton Courier.
Control Officer Kelly Fitch said there are several animals in town that tested positive for rabies, reports the Easton Courier.
This is mating reason and more wildlife is everywhere, making it more critical to get dogs licensed and vaccinated, reports the Easton Courier.
