In a statement on the town’s website, Vavrek said: "Due to the predicted snowstorm tomorrow, a parking ban will most likely be in effect. Vehicles parked in the road hinder snow removal efforts and create a hazard for public works and emergency vehicles."

Any vehicle parked on a town road may be ticketed and/or towed.

"During the course of the storm, please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Please limit calls to the police department to police, fire or medical emergencies only," Vavrek said. "Report any utility disruptions directly to the utility company providing the service. Report hazardous conditions, such as downed utility poles or power lines to the police department."
