Guilherme "Gui" Freitas Rola, a graduate of Henry Abbott Tech High School, was killed in a crash on South Street in Danbury on Sunday, Aug. 7.

"The expenses for this are simply a lot to bear for his family, and I am asking for any and all support that is possible," said Mike Jacobs, who started a GoFundMe to help Rola's family. "Any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated by all.

"It has been a hard and sad time for all of his friends and family as this was very tragic. Gui always looked out for everyone before himself and I would like to pass his generosity from everyone back to his family."

Rola was born May 29, 1997, in Ipatinga, MG, Brazil, the son of Ana Alice Freitas Murphy and Jose Geraldo Rola and stepfather Kevin F. Murphy.
