MONROE, Conn. -- Eversource will begin transmission maintenance work in Monroe Thursday that is expected to last a day or two.
The work will start Thursday and will last through Friday, and possibly Saturday if there is any remaining work to be done. Crews will be installing lightening protection equipment on existing structures from the Shelton border to Sand Bar Road.
Work will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Property owners are being notified of the work, and the scope of the work may include some mowing along the right-of-way and the use of bucket trucks. In some locations, crews may use wood matting to access structures.
