Dylan Garger, 43, was expected to be sentenced in court Friday after pleading guilty in February to the crime, the Stamford Advocate reported.

On June 5, 2015 the Weston Police Department received a report that an unknown male was ringing the doorbell of a home on Ten O’Clock Lane. The female resident did not answer the door, however, a short time later she heard glass and wood breaking at the back door of the residence, police said.
The victim reported that the same man, later identified as Garner, entered her residence and confronted her, police said. The man forced her to the ground and restrained her, police said. He then took several pieces of jewelry before leaving the residence, she told police. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.
An investigation identified Garner as the suspect, and he was taken into custody on July 28 of that year.
According to the Stamford Advocate, Garner had a history of burglaries and had previously served 17 years in prison. He was known as a "gentleman" burglar because he would dress up in nice clothes to blend into wealthy neighborhoods, according to the Stamford Advocate.
