Trumbull Historical Society Raises $1,410 On Fairfield County's 'Giving Day

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Trumbull Historical Society raised $1,410 to install museum-grade UV filters on its windows as part of the Fairfield County Community Foundation Giving Day.

Hosted by Fairfield County's Community Foundation, on Giving Day -- which was Thursday, March 10 -- residents of Fairfield County were encouraged to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofit organizations in 24 hours through online donations. 

In addition to the money the Trumbull Historical Society raised on Giving Day, it won an additional $1,000, and a board member pledged an additional $600. 

The amount it raised exceeded its goal of raising $1,800.

Founded in 1964, Trumbull Historical Society strives to teach, preserve and educate those interested in the history of Trumbull.
