The rally for justice is set to begin at 9 a.m. and participants are asked to wear orange and bring signs, posters, sidewalk chalk and photos of 33-year-old Max Antoine.
Antoine was shot in the torso while crossing McLevy Green early April 20, after leaving a party at an undisclosed location, police said.
At the time Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald said several gunshots were fired and Antoine was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the six months that have elapsed, no arrests have been made in the case.
A GoFundMe page set up in Antoine’s honor raised $21,408 to pay for Antoine’s memorial services.
"We are truly saddened a father a son a brother an uncle and a friend was lost. We need your help and support," the GoFundMe said.
Friends of Antoine also mourned his death on social media. "What a tragedy. Another young black brother DEAD," said one Facebook post.
"I'm going to miss seeing you every week, always with a smile that lights up any room," said another post on Facebook.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Bridgeport police at 203-576-TIPS (8477).
