Support Pours In For Fairfield County Boy Hit By Roof During Storm

A community has come together to help an eighth-grade boy who remains hospitalized after a piece of metal roof hit him during last week's severe line of storms.

Lloyd Thyne, an honor student at Rogers Park Middle School in Danbury, was attending freshman orientation at Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury on Tuesday when a gust of wind blew a piece of metal roofing that struck him.

He suffered a fractured skull, punctured lung, broken femur and several other injuries.
