Run Off The Thanksgiving Feast At Greenwich Turkey Trot

GREENWICH, Conn. — Are you thinking you might overindulge this Thanksgiving Day?

Well, lace up your sneakers and head over to Bruce Park for the Greenwich Alliance for Education’s 7th annual Turkey Trot to be held Saturday, Nov. 25.

About 1,200 spectators and runners are expected to participate in the 5K and the one-mile fun run/walk.

Both races begin and end at the Arch Street Teen Center, 100 Arch Street, and pace through the lovely, flat roads through the park.

Sponsored by Cadillac of Greenwich, the one-mile event begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 10 a.m. Hospital for Special Surgery is the sponsor for the 5K.

All proceeds benefit Greenwich Alliance for Education’s programs that aim to foster educational success for public school students.

Pre-registration is $30 for adults, $12 for children 14 and under. Registration is higher on race day.

T-shirts and goody bags will be guaranteed to runners who register by Nov. 15.

Awards and prizes will be presented to the top three overall male and female 5K winners. Awards will also go to the top contenders in nine age categories.
