The pavilion, which was shuttered after it sustained major damage in Hurricane Sandy in 2012, was the center of a $7.4 million restoration project.

Workers are putting the final touches on the building, which boasts new locker facilities and a newly paved parking lot.

The grand reopening begins at 5 p.m. at the pavilion, 323 Fairfield Beach Road.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to 5 p.m. March 10.
