Al Kulcsar, who starred in the Stratford-based theater company’s “Chapatti,” was named Outstanding Actor in voting among the company’s nearly 1,000 subscribers.

Kulcsar is a fan favorite, having won eight Square One acting awards over the years.

He was cited for his work in the 2017 production centered on a lonely Irishman resisting the opportunity to fall in love.

He has also won for last season’s “The Outgoing Tide” and previously for his work in “The Shop at Sly Corner,” “Freud’s Last Session,” “Southern Comforts” and others.
