TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A local cancer survivor is teaming with the property manager at Trumbull Self Storage to hold a community charity tag sale to benefit Swim Across the Sound for St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport.
Michael Murray said he and Property Manager Jean Romano are set to hold the charity event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, at Trumbull Self Storage, 245 Spring Hill Road.
So far, the pair have scheduled 25 vendors to participate in the tag sale, including some residents from Stratford. Each parking space costs a donation of $20 and several spaces remain.
Anyone interested in selling their items should email Murray at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Those in attendance will also be offered hot dogs, hamburgers and popcorn for sale with the proceeds again benefiting Swim Across the Sound, a charitable event that collects money for cancer research.
Murray, along with his niece Lauren Malatesta, have a team set to participate in the Swim Across the Sound Aquathon & Walk-a-thon on July 29 at the Fairfield YMCA.
