Shakespeare On The Sound Brings 'Hamlet' To Rowayton

ROWAYTON, Conn. -- Shakespeare on the Sound will return to Rowayton's Pinkney Park to perform "Hamlet."

The Norwalk-based theater group aims to provide professional, affordable, open-air productions of Shakespeare and related authors in Fairfield County, according to the group's website.

In the past, Shakespeare on the Sound has performed such plays as "Romeo & Juliet" and "As You Like It." This year's performance of "Hamlet" will be anchored by actor Joey Santia, who will playing the title role, and Claire Kelly, who will be directing.

The main performances will take place from June 16 through July 3 in the park, according to the group.

A free series, called "Hints of Hamlet," is scheduled for April 13 and May 11 as the crew prepares for the main show. These events will take place in the Moose Room at the Rowayton Community Center, 33 Highland Ave.
