There will be a scavenger hunt and crafts for kids and teens, and everyone will be invited to help create a time capsule for the library at the party planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The visiting animals will be provided by Animal Embassy at 10:30 a.m. The Coffee Grinders Acoustic Blues Trio will perform at 2 p.m. If you go early you could receive a tote bag - they will be given to the first 50 arriving families.

All are invited to attend.

The library at 733 Monroe Turnpike opened in March 2007. It is named for Edith Wheeler, a major Monroe benefactor and library supporter.
