MONROE Conn. -- The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library is hosting a lecture on the development of electric locomotives at New Haven Railroad after the turn of the 20th century on Wednesday, June 22, at 6:30 p.m.
The event will feature Rick Abramson, who will discuss the electric locomotives that ran on the New Haven line from 1904 to 1968, when NHRR merged with Penn Central.
Abramson began his career at New Haven Railroad in 1968, and would go on to become superintendent of operations at Housatonic Railroad before his retirement in 2012.
He is also a model train enthusiast.
