Horticulturist, Gardener Speak At Monroe Library About Lawn Care

MONROE, Conn. -- Come to "Lawn Care & Ground Covers: Setting Your Lawn Up for Success" on Tuesday, May 10. from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe.

Professional horticulturist Cynthia Giancaspro and master gardener Barbara Thomas will explain how to control weeds and understand the importance of soil pH and how to check it. 

They will explain the importance of overseeing to crowd out weeds and discuss alternatives to a natural lawn and options for ground covers. 

This event is co-sponsored by the Monroe Land Trust and Tree Conservancy and the library.
