Edith Wheeler Memorial Library In Monroe To Screen "Spotlight"

MONROE, Conn. -- The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe will hold a special screening of “Spotlight,” the 2016 Oscar winner for best picture on Sunday, March 13.

“Spotlight” is the true story of how The Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core. The film won Best Picture at the Academy Awards on Feb. 28. Directed by Tom McCarthy, the film stars Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Lieve Schreiber, John Slattery and Stanley Tucci.

The screening will be held at 1:30 p.m. No registration is required.
