Craving A Taco? Head To First-Ever Connecticut Taco Festival In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. -- Are you taco ready, Fairfield County?

The Connecticut Taco Festival, sponsored by Bacardi, will take place Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Danbury Ice Arena and will feature a variety of taco selections from restaurants and food trucks, alcoholic beverages, Lucha Libre Wrestling featuring Rey Mysterio and Jerry Lawler, taco-eating contests, live music and performances, kid’s activities and vendors.

Participating restaurants and food trucks include Agave Mexican Restaurant (Danbury), El Coyote (Monroe, Brookfield and New Milford), Hacienda don Manuel (Brookfield), Puerto Vallarta (Danbury), Mezón Tapas Bar and Restaurant (Danbury), Molé Molé (Poughkeepsie), Pancho’s Tacos (Danbury), Tigers’ Den (Ridgefield) and Rubamba Restaurant (New Haven).

Food trucks include Hapa Food Truck (Stamford), Brazilian Gula Grill (South Windsor), Pork Friends and Co. (Meriden) and Kathy’s Kitchen (Sandy Hook). Flavors include al pastor, beef, carne asada, chicken tinga, feijoada, pork, salpicão, steak and more! Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are available, including cactus, corn and portobello.
