Second McDonald's Location In Danbury Closes For Renovations

DANBURY, Conn. — Just weeks after one McDonald's in Danbury reopened after a remodeling job, a second location of the fast-food restaurant in the city is closed down as it undergoes a makeover.

The fence surrounds the McDonald's on Lake Avenue Extension in Danbury as workers renovate the building. This sign directs hungry customers to the Danbury Fair Mall, which has a McDonald's in the food court if you're in the mood for a Big Mac.

Curious to see how the updates will look? The McDonald's on Newtown Road, off Exit 8 of I-84 and across from Stop & Shop, reopened last month after it underwent a facelift.

Details on when the Lake Avenue Extension location — just off Exit 4 of I-84 — will reopen have not been released. The work on the Newtown Road location took a few weeks.

Besides Newtown Road and the Danbury mall, you can grab a McChicken and fries at the McDonald's on Padanaram Road off Exit 6 of I-84 in Danbury and on Federal Road in Brookfield.
