TRUMBULL, Conn. — Some might see Trumbull as a sleepy suburb, but not Laura Campbell, executive director of the Trumbull Chamber of Commerce.
Working with the town’s economic development office and other officials and developers, Campbell has a front-row view of the town’s steady and thoughtful growth.
“There’s a tremendous amount of economic development happening,’ she said, pointing to several new restaurants that have opened their doors in the past year.
“There once was a time when, you know, everyone said there were no restaurants in Trumbull. But now there’s an abundance of really good restaurants in Trumbull.”
Faced with an area without the traditional town green found in some neighboring communities, Campbell said she works to find creative ways to tie all parts of Trumbull together as one.
The Trumbull Chamber of Commerce is part of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council.
